Quarterbacks

  1. Tom Brady, NE (vs. Eagles) - At a 23.5 points, this game has the largest point-spread ever between two non-expansion teams. The reason for this is one man - Tom Brady.
  2. Tony Romo, DAL (vs. Jets) - Romo completely destroyed a very good Redskins pass defense last week, throwing four touchdown passes to Terrell Owens. Romo will be home this week against a bad Jets defense, so expect a good game from him.
  3. Brett Favre, GB (at Lions) - Does anyone perform better in the national spotlight? Favre will have all eyes on him Thursday afternoon as he heads into Detroit to take on a slipping Lions team. A Packers win could all but guarantee them the NFC North.
  4. Matt Hasselbeck, SEA (at Rams) - Hasselbeck has quietly been one of the most consistent scoring quarterbacks in the league this year. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in all but three games this season.
  5. Peyton Manning, IND (at Falcons) - Manning has thrown just three touchdowns in his last three games, but he remains one of the elite fantasy quarterbacks. Benching him against an average Falcons secondary would not be recommended.
  6. Derek Anderson, CLE (vs. Texans) - Anderson has thrown 19 touchdown passes in his last 8 games. With the Texans missing stand-out cornerback Dunta Robinson, it could be a big day for Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards.
  7. Eli Manning, NYG (vs. Vikings) - The Vikings have one of the absolute worst pass defenses in the NFL. Heck, Daunte Culpepper nearly threw for 350 yards against them. With or without Brandon Jacobs to relieve the pressure, Eli Manning should be a good play this week, especially in yardage-heavy leagues.
  8. Matt Schaub, HOU (at Browns) - With Andre Johnson back in the picture, Matt Schaub could be back to being a pretty solid fantasy quarterback. The two of them hooked up for big numbers last week and the Brownś΄ secondary isń΄t downright bad.
  9. Carson Palmer, CIN (vs. Titans) - The Titans are giving up less than 200 passing yards per game and Palmer has been very average this season. Palmeŕ΄s accuracy has been deteriorating and his receivers - namely Chad Johnson - are not playing up to their abilities.
  10. Ben Roethlisberger, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - The Dolphins have allowed the 4th least amount of passing yards against them this season and Roethlisberger will likely be without Santonio Holmes this week. Big Ben is still a decent play this week, but the match-up might not be as juicy as we originally thought.
  11. Kurt Warner, ARI (vs. 49ers) - The 49ers are actually decent against the pass, but Warner has been on a pretty good streak lately, throwing for 5 touchdowns over the past two games.
  12. Jeff Garcia, TB (vs. Redskins) - Without Sean Taylor, the Redskinś΄ secondary has been beaten down. Tony Romo torched them for four touchdowns last week and Jeff Garcia has thrown at least one in six straight games.
  13. Drew Brees, NO (at Panthers) - Breeś΄ track-record against the Panthers isń΄t very good, and he played poorly last week against the Texans.
  14. Jon Kitna, DET (vs. Packers) - Kitna has passed for 250+ yards in three straight games and an increasingly healthy Calvin Johnson is helping to do that. The Lions play much better offensive football at home, but they match up this week against a very tough Packers pass defense.
  15. David Garrard, JAC (vs. Bills) - Garrard gets a relatively easy match this week against a Bills defense that allowed Tom Brady to completely abuse them last week. Brady is just a BIT better than Garrard, but Garrard could still have a decent day.
  16. Jason Campbell, WAS (at Buccaneers) - Campbell had a big game last week against the Cowboys, but the Bucs have been good against the pass all year. The Bucs have allowed just six passing touchdowns against them on the year.
  17. Vince Young, TEN (at Bengals) - Vince Young passed for over 300 yards on Monday night against the Broncos, and it would have been more if his receivers knew how to catch the ball. Young faces a Bengals pass defense which has allowed the 2nd most passing touchdowns against them this year.
  18. Marc Bulger, STL (vs. Seahawks) - Bulger threw for just 155 yards and one touchdown last week against the 49ers and has not thrown a touchdown pass against the Seahawks in two straight games. The Seahawks have allowed a league-low five passing touchdowns against them this year.
  19. Phillip Rivers, SD (vs. Ravens) - After years of being elite on defense, the Ravens are finally slipping into the middle of the pack. Unfortunately, it́΄s difficult to have much faith in Rivers this year, as he has struggled to get in a groove all year.
  20. Donovan McNabb, PHI (at Patriots) - McNabb was hurt in week 11 and could potentially miss this game. If he does play, he has a surprisingly decent match-up against a Patriots defense which has been average-at-best against the pass. The main problem we see is that he may not end up playing for the entire game if he does end up starting.

Running Backs

  1. Joseph Addai, IND (at Falcons) - Earnest Graham ripped apart the Falcons defense last week to the tune of 100+ yards and a touchdown. Joseph Addai is going to have plenty of opportunities to make his owners happy on Thanksgiving Day.
  2. LaDainian Tomlinson, SD (vs. Ravens) - Tomlinson has scored in three straight games. Though the Ravens have a tough run defense, Jamal Lewis had 92 yards and a touchdown against them last week. Let́΄s just say Tomlinson is a BIT better than Lewis.
  3. Marion Barber III, DAL (vs. Jets) - The Jets have allowed ten touchdowns top opposing running backs this season and scoring is Barbeŕ΄s specialty. If the Cowboys are able to move the ball like they did last week, Barber should have no problem reaching the end-zone at least once.
  4. Reggie Bush, NO (at Panthers) - Reggie had a nice, 119-total yard game against the Panthers in week five. The Panthers have allowed seven scores to opposing running backs in the last seven games, and the potential is always there for Bush to have a monster game.
  5. Steven Jackson, STL (vs. Seahawks) - The Seahawks have allowed just two 100-yard rushers this season, but they have also allowed nine rushing touchdowns. Jackson has scored in three straight games against the Seahawks.
  6. Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (vs. Bills) - The Bills have allowed either a touchdown or 100-yards to the opposing teaḿ΄s running backs in nine of their ten games this season.
  7. Brian Westbrook, PHI (at Patriots) - Westbrook has been the NFĹ΄s best fantasy back this season, but if McNabb doesń΄t play; it could be a long day for him.
  8. Willie Parker, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - The Dolphins have been awful against the run this year, allowing 150 yards rushing per game and 12 touchdowns. Unfortunately, Parker has scored just once in his last eight games.
  9. Jamal Lewis, CLE (vs. Texans) - Six running backs have rushed for 90+ yards in the last six games against the Texans. If they give him the carries, Lewis should be able to add to that.
  10. Edgerrin James, ARI (vs. 49ers) - The 49ers are allowing 125 yards rushing per game, but they have allowed only six rushing touchdowns against them all season. James did gain 112 total yards and a touchdown in week one against the 49ers, however.
  11. Willis McGahee, BAL (at Chargers) - McGahee has scored in five straight games, but the Chargers have been very good against the run - especially at home, where they haveń΄t allowed a rushing touchdown all year.
  12. Laurence Maroney, NE (vs. Eagles) - Maroney did get the first score in the blowout win over the Bills last week, but he also injured his foot and missed the rest of the game. The Patriots are a pass-first offense this year, so a banged-up Maroney might not be a great fantasy play.
  13. Cedric Benson, CHI (vs. Broncos) - Cedric has now scored in two straight games, and he gets a chance to play against the NFĹ΄s worst run defense this week. If yoú΄re going to give Cedric another chance, this might be the week to do it.
  14. Selvin Young, DEN (at Bears) - If Travis Henry doesń΄t play, Selvin Young has the potential for a nice game this week against a Bears defense which is allowing 128 yards and nearly one rushing touchdown per game.
  15. Maurice Morris, SEA (at Rams) - Morris has been solid in his relief of Shaun Alexander, compiling over 80 total yards and a touchdown in each of his two starts.
  16. LenDale White, TEN (at Bengals) - The Bengals defense is downright terrible, and Vince Young may have trouble with his receivers holding onto the ball again. These things could add up to a nice game for LenDale who hasń΄t scored in two straight.
  17. Clinton Portis, WAS (at Buccaneers) - The Buccaneers had allowed running back touchdowns in five straight games before last week. Portis had 353 yards in his previous two games before facing the Cowboys. Somethinǵ΄s gottá΄ give here.
  18. Chester Taylor, MIN (at Giants) - Chester Taylor exploded for a monster game last week, proving that the Vikingś΄ offensive line is blocking well for the run this year. But as Brad Childress said, “We cań΄t play the Raiders every week.”
  19. Frank Gore, SF (at Cardinals) - Gore hasń΄t scored in his last seven games. That streak could end this week against a Cardinals defense which has allowed eight rushing scores this season, but until the passing game becomes a threat again, Goré΄s fantasy value is minimal.
  20. Ryan Grant, GB (at Lions) - Detroit has been surprisingly good against the run this year, allowing less than 100-yards per game. Ryan Grant has been solid in his four starts for the Packers, but Brett Favre is going to be the guy the Packers rely on this Thanksgiving.
  21. Warrick Dunn, ATL (vs. Colts) - The Colts have been questionable in their run-stopping as of late and they continue to slump. Unfortunately, because the Falcons will likely be behind early, there woń΄t be as many opportunities for the Falcons.
  22. Earnest Graham, TB (vs. Redskins)
  23. Ron Dayne, HOU (at Browns) - The Browns have allowed eight 100-yard rushers, but surprisingly only three running back touchdowns on the year. Dayne does have a 100-yard game this year, but his main value is at the goal-line, where the Browns are very good.
  24. Kolby Smith, KC (vs. Raiders) - Larry Johnson had scored in seven straight games against the Raiders. Unluckily for fantasy owners, Johnson is replaced this week by a non-descript runner named Kolby Smith.
  25. Thomas Jones, NYJ (at Cowboys) - The Steelers had not allowed a 100-yard rusher yet this season prior to facing the Jets and Thomas Jones. The bad part of this is that Jones still hasń΄t scored a single touchdown this season and he plays a top-5 Cowboys run defense this week.
  26. Marshawn Lynch, BUF (at Jaguars) - Lynch could be on the sidelines again this week, but even if he makes it onto the field; he will not find it easy to run against one of the best run defenses in the league.
  27. Jesse Chatman, MIA (at Steelers) - The Steelers remain the best defense in the league despite their malfunction against the Jets last week. Doń΄t expect Jesse Chatman to follow Thomas Joneś΄ lead of running for 100 yards against this defense.
  28. DeShaun Foster, CAR (vs. Saints) - The Saints have been surprisingly good against the run all season and DeShauń΄s toe injury woń΄t help things.
  29. Justin Fargas, OAK (at Chiefs) - The Chiefs have allowed four rushing touchdowns this season. Those four runners? LaDainian Tomlinson, Joseph Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Adrian Peterson. Needless to say, Fargas is not a good play this week.
  30. Julius Jones, DAL (vs. Jets) - Julius will face off against his brother Thomaś΄ team on Thanksgiving. Despite this uplifting story, Julius will still be splitting carries with Marion Barber.
  31. Kenny Watson, CIN (vs. Titans) - Kenny Watson continues to split carries with Rudi Johnson despite out-performing him on a weekly basis. Neither are great plays this week as the Bengals are also still a pass-first offense.
  32. Kevin Jones, DET (vs. Packers) - Jones is averaging less than 50 total yards per game over his last three, and the Packers have allowed only 3 rushing touchdowns this season.
  33. Rueben Droughns, NYG (vs. Vikings) - Droughns might be the starter if Jacobs cań΄t go. Either way, the Vikings run defense is usually unbreakable and it seems unlikely that Droughns will do much of anything.
  34. Rudi Johnson, CIN (vs. Titans) - Since being injured, Rudi has been a complete fantasy bust.
  35. Chris Brown, TEN (at Bengals) - LenDale is still giving up a few carries per game to Brown and the Bengals defense is among the worst in the league.

Wide Receivers

  1. Randy Moss, NE (vs. Eagles) - Moss scored four touchdowns in the first half against the Bills. He is on pace for 1,683 yards and 25 touchdown receptions this season… Wow.
  2. Terrell Owens, DAL (vs. Jets) - After annihilating the Redskins for four touchdowns, it seems like Tony Romo and T.O. are really firing on all cylinders.
  3. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, CIN (vs. Titans) - Houshmandzadeh has only missed scoring a touchdown in one game this season. He has scored 11 touchdowns already this season and doesń΄t appear ready to stop.
  4. Reggie Wayne, IND (at Falcons) - Wayne is averaging 106 yards receiving since Marvin Harrison went out with his knee injury.
  5. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI (vs. 49ers) - Fitzgerald has topped 80 yards or scored and/or scored a touchdown in 9 straight games.
  6. Braylon Edwards, CLE (vs. Texans) - Braylon is an every-week starter. After road games against the Ravens and Steelers, he has a fairly easy match up against the Texans.
  7. Andre Johnson, HOU (at Browns) - Johnson had a big game in his first game back last week and he should have another nice game against the Browns.
  8. Torry Holt, STL (vs. Seahawks) - Holt has scored in every home game this season and is quietly on track for another very productive season.
  9. Plaxico Burress, NYG (vs. Vikings) - Plax has been cold lately, but could get back in stride this week with an easy match up against the Vikings defense.
  10. Anquan Boldin, ARI (vs. 49ers) - After missing the end-zone two weeks in a row, Boldin finally crossed the stripe again last week against the Bengals. He remains Warneŕ΄s favorite red-zone target despite Fitzgerald́΄s consistent play.
  11. Marques Colston, NO (at Panthers) - The Panthers shut down Colston the last time they played against him, but Colston has been on a hot streak and he should be Breeś΄ main target in the passing game.
  12. Joey Galloway, TB (vs. Redskins) - Galloway has scored in three straight games and the Redskins appear vulnerable to big, quick receivers without Sean Taylor.
  13. Roy Williams, DET (vs. Packers) - Williams has scored twice and topped 100-yards once in the last two games. He has a tough match up this week against the Packers, but the Lions seem to play better at home.
  14. Hines Ward, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - If Santonio Holmes cań΄t play, Hines Ward́΄s value goes up even more. Roethlisberger will be looking his way early and often.
  15. D.J. Hackett, SEA (at Rams) - Hackett has scored in each of his three games since returning from injury and topped 100-yards in each of them.
  16. Greg Jennings, GB (at Lions) - Jennings has scored seven times in eight games this season.
  17. Wes Welker, NE (vs. Eagles) - Brady was too busy throwing touchdown passes to Randy Moss to look Welkeŕ΄s way in the end-zone, but doń΄t expect that to continue. Welker is still a very good play.
  18. Chad Johnson, CIN (vs. Titans) - Johnsoń΄s scoreless streak continues. He has now scored just two of his last 16 games. Yuck.
  19. Lee Evans, BUF (at Jaguars) - If anyone is going to have a big game for the Bills, it will be Lee Evans.
  20. Chris Henry, CIN (vs. Titans) - He matches up with the opposing teamś΄ no. 3 corners and they just cań΄t seem to stop him. Henry has 12 receptions for 180 yards and a touchdown in his two games since returning from suspension.
  21. Donald Driver, GB (at Lions) - Driver leads the Packers in catches and yardage. It sure would be nice if Favre would throw him a touchdown or two, though.
  22. Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ (at Cowboys) - If Laveranues Coles is unable to play, Jerricho Cotchery will be leaned on to try to match what Santana Moss did against the Cowboys last week.
  23. Steve Smith, CAR (vs. Saints) - Hé΄ll probably play this week, but that doesń΄t necessarily mean he should be in your fantasy lineup. Poor guy…
  24. Brandon Marshall, DEN (at Bears) - Marshall is developing into a very good overall receiver, but his fantasy scores have been pretty inconsistent.
  25. Deion Branch, SEA (at Rams) - Branch came back from injury last week and didń΄t do a whole lot, but he is still a starting receiver on a now pass-first offense.
  26. Dwayne Bowe, KC (vs. Raiders) - Bowe has scored and/or topped 70 yards receiving in seven of his last nine games. The Raiders are good against the pass, but if someoné΄s going to score, it́΄s probably going to be Bowe.
  27. Derrick Mason, BAL (at Chargers) - In a points-per-reception league, Mason makes a decent play. He doesń΄t score very often, though.
  28. Chris Chambers, SD (vs. Ravens) - Somewhere along the line, the Ravens stopped trying to cover the pass. Chris Chambers is having fun on his new team and Phillip Rivers appears to like throwing to him.
  29. Kevin Walter, HOU (at Browns) - The Browns pass defense is terrible. If they focus on shutting down Andre Johnson, as expected, Kevin Walter could have a nice day.
  30. Patrick Crayton, DAL (vs. Jets) - While Terrell Owens is clearly the top receiver on this team, Patrick Crayton is a sneaky play against a porous Jets pass defense.
  31. Bobby Engram, SEA (at Rams) - Engram will be back in the slot this week as Deion Branch returns from injury, which means that his numbers will likely fall off a bit.
  32. Donte Stallworth, NE (vs. Eagles) - Brady and Randy Moss appear to be the combo, but even as a third target, Stallworth should be able to put something decent together.
  33. Santana Moss, WAS (at Buccaneers) - Santana Moss torched the Cowboys last week, but the Buccaneers have allowed only four wide receiver touchdowns this season.
  34. Calvin Johnson, DET (vs. Packers) - Johnson is finally looking better and got into the end zone last week against the Giants. He has a tougher match up this week against the Packers.
  35. Ronald Curry, OAK (at Chiefs) - Curry has topped 85 yards or scored in three straight games against the Chiefs.
  36. Bernard Berrian, CHI (vs. Broncos) - After starting off the season hot against the pass, the Broncos have opened up and even let Vince Young throw for 300 yards against them. If Grossman can get the ball to Berrian, he could have a game similar to that of Greg Jennings from earlier in the season.
  37. Santonio Holmes, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - It is looking like Holmes is less and less likely to play this weekend. If he does play, he will face a fairly good Dolphins pass defense.
  38. Kevin Curtis, PHI (vs. Patriots) - If theré΄s one place the Patriots are vulnerable, it́΄s giving up passing yardage. If Curtis can get open, he will catch a few passes, even if they are from AJ Feely.
  39. Arnaz Battle, SF (at Cardinals) - Trent Dilfer appears to like Battle more than Alex Smith did, so it́΄s possible that he continues this streak of decent numbers.
  40. Laveranues Coles, NYJ (at Cowboys) - The Cowboys are extremely vulnerable to speedy receivers. The bad part is that Coleś΄ injuries make it unlikely that he will play in this game.

Tight Ends

  1. Antonio Gates, SD (vs. Ravens) - Until he stops scoring, hé΄s not going to leave his post on top of the tight end rankings.
  2. Jeremy Shockey, NYG (vs. Vikings) - The Vikings have been bad against opposing tight ends all year and Shockey has been hot lately.
  3. Kellen Winslow, CLE (vs. Texans) - Winslow has had at least four catches for 40-yards in 9 of his 10 games this season.
  4. Jason Witten, DAL (vs. Jets) - Witten is averaging 7 catches for more nearly 80 yards per home game this season.
  5. Donald Lee, GB (at Lions) - Lee caught two touchdown passes last week, and the Lions have allowed three tight end touchdowns over the past three weeks. Nice…
  6. Ben Watson, NE (vs. Eagles) - The Eagles have given up three tight ends in their last three games; and Watson is still catching passes from Tom Brady.
  7. Tony Gonzalez, KC (vs. Raiders) - Gonzalez has struggled over the last few weeks, but we can only assume that he will get back on his usual scoring ways sometime soon.
  8. Dallas Clark, IND (at Falcons) - The Falcons have been good against tight ends this year, but Clark always seems to sneak into the end-zone when we least expect it.
  9. Chris Cooley, WAS (at Buccaneers) - Cooley had a big game against the Bucs last year, but the Bucs have improved at covering opposing tight ends this season.
  10. Heath Miller, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - Miller has five touchdown receptions in his last six games. Hé΄s a good play against a poor Dolphins defense.
  11. Greg Olsen, CHI (vs. Broncos) - Olsen has been consistently pulling in catches for the Bears and Grossman seems to like him.
  12. L.J. Smith, PHI (at Patriots) - Smith́΄s value goes up a bit if McNabb plays, but either way; he is playing the Patriots.
  13. Leonard Pope, ARI (vs. 49ers) - Pope has turned into the Cardinalś΄ third red-zone target.
  14. Vernon Davis, SF (at Cardinals) - Davis has 8 catches since Trent Dilfer took over two weeks ago. The more opportunities he gets, the better chance he has of scoring.
  15. Jeff King, CAR (vs. Saints) - The Saints haveń΄t been very good against tight ends lately and Jeff King is the only other real target besides Steve Smith.

Kickers

  1. Josh Brown, SEA (at Rams) - Brown has kicked 10 field goals in his last three games in St. Louis. What kicker doesń΄t love kicking indoors?
  2. Stephen Gostkowski, NE (vs. Eagles) - The NFL record for extra points is 66. Gostkowski is on pace for 86. Hé΄ll kick quite a few of them this week, if nothing else.
  3. Ron Bironas, TEN (at Bengals) - Bironas missed a long field goal going into the half against the Broncos, but Mike Shannahan called a time out before it went off. Bironas made it the second time around. Our theory is that he knew he would get another chance.
  4. Kris Brown, HOU (at Browns) - The Texanś΄ offense is looking up again, and thus Brown gets a higher spot on the kicker rankings.
  5. Shayne Graham, CIN (vs. Titans) - Graham has been extremely consistent this year. He has 7+ points in nine of his last ten games.
  6. Phil Dawson, CLE (vs. Texans) - Following one of the craziest finishes to a game ever, Phil Dawson will get an opportunity to face a Texans team which has allowed more field goals than any team in the league.
  7. Mason Crosby, GB (at Lions) - Crosby only has one indoor game in his career, but he kicked three field goals and two extra points in it.
  8. Adam Vinatieri, IND (at Falcons) - Vinatieri used to be widely considered the best field goal kicker in the game, but he has been wildly inconsistent this year. Thankfully, he will be kicking in doors this week.
  9. Nick Folk, DAL (vs. Jets) - Despite his few opportunities to kick field goals at home, he has been pretty consistent with those extra points.
  10. Jeff Reed, PIT (vs. Dolphins) - Reed has kicked three field goals in each of his last two games.

Defense / Special Teams

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Dolphins) - The Steelers slipped up last week against the Jets, but they get a chance to redeem themselves this week against the only NFL team who has yet to hit the win column.
  2. New England Patriots (vs. Eagles) - If the Eagles are without McNabb, this could be the most one-sided game we see this season.
  3. New York Giants (vs. Vikings) - The only reason the Vikings were able to do anything last week was because they were playing a bad Raiders run defense. The Giants are quite a bit better and they will be all over Tarvaris Jackson.
  4. Indianapolis Colts (at Falcons) - Even without Dwight Freeney, the Colts defense played well last week against the Chiefs. Joey Harrington is going to have trouble doing anything against these guys.
  5. Dallas Cowboys (vs. Jets) - DeMarcus Ware and the Cowboys pass-rush should be able to get to Kellen Clemons early and often.
  6. Tennessee Titans (at Bengals) - The Titans defense has slipped a bit, but Carson Palmer looks shaken right now and they might be able to capitalize on that.
  7. Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Raiders) - The Raiders had a nice day passing last week against one of the leagué΄s worst pass defenses. This week, they get a defense that completely shut down Peyton Manning last week.
  8. Arizona Cardinals (vs. 49ers) - The 49ers are that bad on offense… Not to mention, it seemed like the Cardinals picked off Carson Palmer every other pass last week.
  9. Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Bills) - The Jaguars lost their starting middle linebacker Mike Peterson last week. The Bills looked awful against the Patriots, so hopefully the Jaguars can capitalize on that.
  10. San Diego Chargers (vs. Ravens) - The Ravenś΄ offense looked alive last week, but that was probably more mirage than it was trend. Shawne Merriman and co. should have a good day rushing the passer.
  11. Minnesota Vikings (at Giants) - The Vikings still lead the NFL in defensive touchdowns. Another one sure would be nice, though.
  12. Seattle Seahawks (at Rams) - The Seahawks held the Rams to just 7 points in week five, but that was when they were without Steven Jackson and Marc Bulger.
